Cape Cod Charter Fishing Aboard the Lyndsy Liz on Cape Cod
Fishing for Striped Bass and Bluefish are some of the most enjoyable trips on a Cape Cod Fishing Charter. Fast action, lots of fish, and the warm summer sun make for a fun day. Light tackle with live or dead bait work very well for lots of hook-ups. Trolling wire line with jigs or tube and worm also work well for catching large stripers. In the early spring, 20 minutes is all it takes to the fishing grounds. Later, we fish Monomoy rips, Nantucket, Marthas Vinyard, or wherever the fish show up. Typically a 5 or 6 hour trip is all you need to catch lots of fish.

Fishing for small to medium school bluefin tuna is some of the most fun fishing anyone could imagine. Whales and dolphin are a common site, usually fishing right in amongest them which makes for an unforgettable experience. Fresh grilled tuna is delicious. Giant bluefin trips aren't for everyone. They are long and not always productive. After saying that, I must add they are my favorite fish to catch. There are plenty of days when multiple fish are caught. July and August are good months for school bluefin. September, October, and November are good for giant bluefin tuna. These big fish average 500 lbs. Tuna over 73 inches will be sold by the captain with a 30% return to the charter.

Cod Trips are really cool. Cod is one of the tastiest fish in the sea. Also, there's a pretty good chance of catching a fair number of them, not to mention a variety of other tasty fish. Pollack, haddock, wolf fish, and monk fish to mention a few. On these trips you have a good oppotunity to see lots of different marine animals. Whales, porpoise, sharks and birds like loons, shearwaters, mures, gannets, storm petrels, and northern fulmars plus lots more depending on the time of year.

Shark trips take place in the same area as where we fish cod fish. So, we fish for cod and other fish while waiting for the bite. On this trip you will also have the opportunity to see all the animals mentioned in the cod trip. The sharks range from six to twelve feet in length at approximately 100- 300 lb. on average with some up to 600 lbs.
