Captain Ray has been on Cape Cod for over 45 years. He was introduced to saltwater fishing his first week on Cape Cod and was hooked. He began selling bluefish to local restaurants at age 13, worked on a scalloper at age 20, and purchased his first commercial fishing vessel at age 25, he’s been fishing the open waters of the Atlantic ever since. Captain Ray obtained his US Coast Guard Masters License in 2005 allowing him to share his love of fishing with everyone. His enthusiasm for fishing will help make for an exciting adventure.
Ray is also a seasoned commercial fisherman with tuna, striped bass, cod, and haddock as his main catch. His passion is fishing for bluefin tuna with rod and reel. To date, he has landed and sold well over 300 giant bluefin. His experience has led to many of his charters successfully landing a tuna. Captain Ray never tires of being part of the action; the adrenaline rush is intoxicating.
He enjoys donating his boat for The Big Three, an annual fundraising event for Brother/Big Sister of Cape Cod. In 2020, he took part in another fundraiser, the Charter Cup Fishing Tournament where his boat came in first place for the largest Striped Bass.
Looking forward to having you aboard!
